THE HEARING: PUBLICATION COPY REVIEW

Scope: read-only static AI review of Possible States public/guides/the-hearing/{student,instructor,assignment,sources,artwork}.html, Yoav app/lab/the-hearing/page.tsx, and Possible States components/activity-launch.tsx. Follow-up checked the regenerated assignment.html and linked Canvas_Assignment.txt on both sites. Read the route constants/helpers only to resolve their links. No source edits, Git, browser testing, or Library writes. This is not a student, teacher, accessibility, or timed classroom trial.

Finding: no new material copy defect found in the reviewed publication files.

The launch copy clearly distinguishes exploring from class entry while retaining the full completion requirements in both. Optional frames must be filled. The main explanation consistently aims for 60-85 words and accepts 50-120; the comparison remains 30-45. Print / Save as PDF is correctly described as the browser print dialog, JSON as editable resume backup, and export/completion as separate from submission. No automatic grading, demonstrated learning, or measured classroom timing is claimed.

All static local links in the five reviewed guides matched existing files. The intended catalogue return paths are /simulations/the-hearing on Possible States and /lab/the-hearing on Yoav; play is /play/the-hearing/index.html with use=explore or use=class. Yoav's route constants agree. No material typo or em dash was found in the reviewed new copy.

The paper-question gap is resolved in both regenerated assignment pages. Question 1 asks what a chosen source records/measures, which further inference it cannot establish, which learner-written phrase is affected, and a cited, reasoned keep/narrow/replace decision. Question 2 distinguishes different premises, independent checking and repetition of an underlying source; it requires source origins, implications for the learner's explanation, and a cited, reasoned decision. The copy explicitly distinguishes adaptive digital practice from paper work, assigns paper assessment to a teacher, and gives paper responses no software Complete status. The two sites' assignment bodies match apart from their site navigation. The linked Canvas text continues to serve the digital assignment. No material issue remains in this copy review; the game engine was not re-tested.
