The Shared Country
Created by Yoav Duman
Aven has one river, three unequal clinic budgets and several governments with reasons to disagree. You work alone: choose a starting perspective, consider the others and find out what the rules permit.
Begin here
- Choose Just exploring for optional written notes, or For class when completing an assignment.
- Keep your opening judgment before reading the briefing if using For class. Choose a starting perspective and read the others.
- In each round, keep your own first position, then enter a plausible position for each government. Your preference does not have to win. The app applies the stated threshold and preserves the recorded result for this attempt.
Follow what changes
Your river rule determines who can authorize the flood response. The clinic packages separate equal funding from control over budgets and staffing. Licensing is a recommendation, not an enacted change. Failure to agree can leave the current rule in place; that is a result worth explaining.
For Pelar, keep your first answers before using Check my reasoning. Then explain any revision or confirmation. You can do the whole sequence yourself.
Keep your work
Work starts in memory. Save on this device enables browser saving. A downloaded JSON progress backup restores the activity or moves it to another device. A PDF, HTML or text report is a readable record to keep or submit.
For class, check the report and upload it through the method your instructor specified. Downloading does not submit it. Completing every field does not grade the quality of your reasoning.
Restart starts another attempt and clears the current record and saved browser copy. Download anything you want to keep first. A backup from the earlier live-group version is marked as such when restored.
Where your responses go
Responses stay on your device unless you save or download them. The activity has no response-upload service. Browser saves belong to that browser, device and website address; use a progress backup to move them. Ordinary website access logs and the site’s public-page visitor counter are separate from your answers.
