PRIVACY & LOCAL SAVES

Your thinking.
On your device.

You do not need a student account. This site does not provide a student response database, class dashboard or automatic submission service.

What happens to your responses

The included simulations process responses in your browser. Some save progress in browser storage automatically, while others ask you to save it. The activity’s controls explain its particular behavior. Downloaded reports and progress backups are files on your device until you choose to share them.

Browser storage is specific to a browser, device and website address. It may remain after you close a tab, and other people using that browser profile may be able to access it. Use the activity’s reset/erase controls when finished on a shared device. Clearing this site’s browser data removes local saves; download anything you need first.

The Just exploring / For class choice is remembered on this browser for each activity. It is a local preference, not a student profile. Clearing this site’s browser data removes it.

What the website stores

The creator’s publishing system stores catalog descriptions, teaching links, visibility choices and version history. It does not accept student responses. A first-party visitor monitor records public page visits. It does not record activity answers, form contents, URL queries, URL fragments or login details. There are no advertising pixels or session-replay scripts.

Ordinary hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, request paths, browser information and technical logs to deliver and protect the site. This page does not promise that those providers retain no logs. Their infrastructure is separate from the simulation’s local response record.

Visitor counting

The monitor helps the creator see how people find the site and which pages and activities they open. Records can include the visit time, public page path, referring website domain, browser, device type, operating system and language. The hosting network may supply an IP address and approximate country, region, city or network provider. These locations can reflect a VPN, campus network or mobile provider rather than a person’s physical location.

Only the owner can open the monitor. Visitor reports cover the most recent 90 days; IP addresses are shown for at most 30 days. Expired records are removed when counting or reporting runs, and report queries mask older IP addresses. Visitor estimates use a site-specific hash of network/browser information, or a temporary visit identifier when an IP is unavailable. They are estimates, not identified people. A browser visit identifier expires after 30 minutes without another counted page.

Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and this page’s local opt-out disable counting. Known bots, private studio pages and signed-in owner visits are excluded. Browser blocking and privacy settings mean the counts will not include every visit. HTML teaching-guide views can be counted; PDF/document downloads are not tracked by this page counter.

Files, links and sharing

When you export or print a report, inspect it before sharing. Your own writing can contain personal information even if the activity does not ask for it. Use your institution’s approved submission method. Opening a linked research article or other external resource subjects that visit to the destination’s practices.

Creator access

Only the creator’s studio requires sign-in. Students and instructors can read guides and use activities without signing in. The studio does not retrieve local student work.

Questions

Contact the creator’s contact page with the activity title and a description of the issue. Avoid sending student records or sensitive information. This design supports a minimal-data classroom workflow; it is not a claim of institutional or legal certification.
